Author Guidelines

Insightia Journal of Research and Innovation welcomes submissions in the fields of
pharmacy and applied sciences. The journal publishes original research, reviews, and concise reports
under a rigorous double-blind peer-review policy. Authors are requested to follow the guidelines
below while preparing manuscripts.

Manuscript Types

Insightia accepts the following article types:

• Original Research Article: Full-length reports presenting new and scientifically sound findings. Sections include Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussion, and optional Conclusions.
• Review Article: Comprehensive analysis of existing literature identifying trends, gaps, and future directions. No unpublished data should be included.
• Short Communication / Brief Report: Concise reports (≤2,000 words) focusing on a single novel result or method.
• Case Report / Case Study: Educational case descriptions (≤3,000 words, excluding references). Up to 50 references encouraged.
• Letter to the Editor: Short communications (≤1,500 words) commenting on published work or current issues. No abstract required.
• Editorial / Commentary: Scholarly opinions, usually by invitation only.

Manuscript Preparation and Formatting

• Language: Clear, grammatical English (US or UK spelling, used consistently).
• File Format: DOCX or LaTeX; 12-pt font, double-spaced, single-column layout with line numbers.
• Title Page: Full title, author names with affiliations, and complete corresponding author contact details.
• Abstract: Structured abstract (≤300 words) summarizing purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
• Keywords: 4–8 relevant keywords listed after the abstract.
• Main Text: Organized into Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.
• Figures & Tables: Embedded near first citation, numbered sequentially, high resolution (≥400 dpi).
• Equations & Units: Number equations and use SI units consistently.
• Supplementary Material: Additional data or methods may be provided as separate files.

References and Citations

• Style: Vancouver (numeric) citation style using square brackets [1], [2–4].
• Formatting: List references in order of appearance with complete bibliographic details.
• DOIs: Include DOI or URL wherever available.
• Accuracy: Ensure all references are cited correctly and consistently.

Submission Instructions

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
The corresponding author is responsible for uploading files, entering author details,
and confirming authorship, conflicts of interest, and reviewer suggestions.

Submissions undergo initial technical checks before peer review.
Queries may be sent to the editorial office, but final submission must be completed online.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts are evaluated using a double-blind peer-review process.
Typically, 2–3 independent experts assess originality, scientific quality, and clarity.
Editorial decisions include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

Ethical Policies

• Originality & Plagiarism: Submissions must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
• Authorship: Authorship must follow ICMJE criteria. All authors must approve the final manuscript.
• Disclosure: Conflicts of interest and funding sources must be declared.
• Human Subjects: IRB approval and informed consent are mandatory where applicable.
• Animal Studies: Must comply with IACUC approvals and ARRIVE guidelines.
• Research Misconduct: Fabrication or falsification leads to rejection or retraction.

Figures and Tables

• High-resolution images (≥400 dpi) with clear labels.
• Numbered in order and cited in the text.
• Captions must be self-explanatory.
• Permissions required for reused content.
• Tables must be editable, not images.

Publication Charges and Open Access

Insightia is a fully open access journal. There is no submission fee.
An Article Processing Charge (APC) is payable upon acceptance to cover editorial
and production costs. APC waivers may be available upon request.

Licensing

Articles are published under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license.
Authors retain copyright while allowing unrestricted reuse with proper attribution.
